The UAP-IW is ideal for retrofitting an existing in-wall wired Ethernet jack to a wireless access point. It also provides one RJ45 data port and one PoE port to connect devices like a VoIP phone. The UAP-IW is capable of speeds of up to 150Mbps with a range of up to 25m (82ft).

These little things are simply genius. Easy to drop into an existing network outlet, and covers a pretty good-sized area. And, built-in switching turns one outlet into two -- a definite bonus!

It would be nice if one or both of the jacks was gigabit, and it would be even nicer if this were an AC access point. But, the simplicity makes up for its shortcomings. (Posted on 3/3/2016)
